Responsibilities:
Project Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Lead and manage the execution of multiple electrical projects, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop project strategies, including project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgetary considerations.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
  • Work with the Estimating team to establish all objectives for the project, including timelines, budgets, assumptions, and takeoffs. Coordinate and lead an internal handoff meeting.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring they align with client expectations and company standards.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and resources required for successful project execution.

Team Management and Development:

  • Help build, supervise and mentor a team of electrical project managers and coordinators, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
  • Facilitate team collaboration, encouraging innovative problem-solving and efficient project execution.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as the primary point of contact for high-profile projects.
  • Understand client needs, expectations, and feedback, ensuring that projects meet or exceed client satisfaction.

Resource Planning and Allocation:

  • Determine project resource requirements, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, to achieve project goals effectively.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency and productivity.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Establish a schedule of values for each project and do monthly financial reporting on the project. Including maintaining a Work in progress number that accurately reflects the job.
  • Oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
  • Identify potential risks and deviations from the budget and proactively implement corrective actions.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with electrical codes and regulations throughout all project phases.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure workmanship and installations meet industry standards.

Risk Management and Problem-Solving:

  • Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation plans, and anticipate challenges to avoid delays and obstacles.
  • Provide effective solutions to overcome project-related issues and make data-driven decisions to keep projects on track.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and relevant records.
  • Providing customers, contractors, building officials, and more with all documentation that is requested.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5-10+ years of Extensive experience as an Electrical Project Manager, successfully managing a diverse portfolio of projects, including large-scale and high-value projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • PMP certification (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • License in MA (NH a plus), including at least 1-3 years of direct electrical installation experience.
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 Safety Training.
  • Proficient with hand tools.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and lifts.
  • Able to lift 60 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license.
